Conan's female avatar DPS bug will take weeks to correct

A few weeks back our own Adrian Bott took a close look at a very ... unique ... bug in Age of Conan. It seems that differing animation cycles in the game have resulted in an unforseen side effect: female avatars do less damage then male ones. At the time, the Funcom developers said they'd let us know as soon as they could about a fix.

Tip of the Day: Age of Conan perspective

Conan just passed 700,000 registered users, but do you count yourself among them? We've got everything you need to stay up to date on Age of Conan's bugs and ongoing patch issues, but we've got more yet. Check out some of our commentary on the game's unique new player experience, and consider that it may be a revolution for the genre.

Age of Conan surpasses 700k registered users

We've been quite taken aback by the responses many players direct at Funcom's Age of Conan. We're not sure if the accusations of the game being a "beta version" or just a "total POS" are the product of unrealistic expectations or are just general animosity towards a game that, at launch, lacks the polish of its biggest competitor.

New patching schedule for Age of Conan

While it initially seemed like good news that FunCom were patching twice a week, and thus doing their best to nail the wheels back on the Age of Conan wagon as it bumped unsteadily down the trail, it didn't work out quite so well in practice.

Age of Conan test server now open to public

To our ever-lasting surprise and confusion, there always seems to be a significant number of players in any given game who are so eager to try out the latest patch that they're willing to spend their time on a test server testing content before it goes live. For a game like Tabula Rasa, with its monthly deployments, there's at least some logic in this. There's an advantage getting acquainted with tweaks before they go live.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures - Funcom warns against scam attempts

It seems that Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (an Xbox 360 version is in the works) has already drawn the attention of the more unsavory denizens of the internet - so much so that Funcom has released a warning to gamers about phishing and scam attempts.

On Shelves This Week: June 8 to June 14, 2008

While last week served up a beefy serving of On Shelves, it is now time to move on and see what's in store for us this week, which is our new "now". It's hot, it's cooking, and it's definitely beefier than the last time around.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures to break one million soon

A press release from Funcom revealed that it will have shipped over one million copies of the PC version of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (the Xbox 360 version is still in development) in less than three weeks since it launched.

Free Online Games- Use Strategy Games To Develop Thinking

Most of the management courses have strategy game playing as a subject. I am a marketer. My product price is say - x. my competitor introduces his/her product at price - y. what should I do with my price that will increase my share. Because whatever I do, my competitor will manipulate their price.
